Ekin Cheng

An actor and singer based in Hong Kong, Ekin Cheng first achieved widespread recognition through his lead performance in the Young and Dangerous film franchise. October 4, 1967, marks his birth in Hong Kong, while his initial screen appearance occurred in Girls Without Tomorrow (1992). The 1996 feature Young and Dangerous elevated him to stardom, its strong reception generating an extended sequence of follow-up films. Throughout the 1990s he simultaneously pursued a Cantopop recording career under contract with BMG Records. Among his notable successes remains the Young and Dangerous theme song “Age of Friendship.”
