Entre Ríos

Forming the electronic pop trio Entre Rios (Between Rivers) are songwriter Sebastian Carreras, programmer Gabriel Lucena, and vocalist Isol. Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the musicians first operated as Tus Hermosos (Your Brothers) and issued one album under that name before adding Isol to create Entre Rios. In addition to performing, Isol writes children’s stories and supplies illustrations for a newspaper. Following the domestic release of two EPs, the band delivered its debut full-length, Idioma Suave, through Spain’s Elefant label in 2002. Sal appeared the next year, and a 2005 split CD shared with New York’s My Favorite surfaced on the Canadian imprint Endearing. Onda, the group’s third album, received international distribution via Elefant, Carreras’ own Indice Virgen, and the U.S. label Darla.
