Biography
From Orange, California, Eye Alaska constructs an ambitious style the group itself labels cinematic rock. The lineup includes singer/songwriter/programmer Brandon Wronski, guitarist/singer Cameron Trowbridge, guitarist/pianist/vocalist Chase Kensrue, bassist/vocalist Christopher Osegueda, and drummer Han Ko. Wronski and Trowbridge had previously performed together in the slightly harder-edged Dead Letter Diaries prior to Eye Alaska’s formation in 2006. Over the following two years the band focused on songwriting and live shows, among them appearances at the Bamboozle Left Festival, until Fearless Records offered a recording contract. The debut EP Yellow & Elephant appeared in 2008, folding world-music and film-score elements into the group’s existing rock base. Further expansion came with Genesis Underground, produced by Matt Wallace and issued in summer 2008.
