Fronzilla

Positioned closer to rap within the rap-rock continuum, Fronzilla represents Chris Fronzak’s individual endeavor outside his role as frontman for Attila, the Atlanta-based death metal outfit known for its exuberant party ethos. The group came together in 2005 and issued its first full-length, Fallacy, two years later, followed by five additional studio albums prior to a hiatus beginning in 2015. Fronzak treated the pause as a chance to pursue independent work, appearing first as a featured performer on Buried Electric’s Heretic before delivering his own full-length effort, Party People’s Anthem. Drawing strong inspiration from Lil Jon and fellow practitioners of crunk and trap, that release included the tracks “Turn It Up” and “They Still Talk.”
