Hannah Grae channels angsty guitar-driven pop into explorations of contemporary struggles, from social media and relationships to wider modern challenges. The Welsh artist put out her first EP, Hell Is a Teenage Girl, in 2023, with her debut album Nothing Lasts Forever arriving the following year.
Raised in Port Talbot, Wales, Grae developed an early passion for music shaped by the work of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and Miley Cyrus. After posting online covers that recast tracks such as Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” in fresh lights, she turned to original songwriting. Her first single, the punk-infused “Propaganda,” surfaced in late 2022 and was soon joined by the spiky “Time of Your Life,” both addressing the strains of school and social media. More songs emerged in early 2023, leading to the release of Hell Is a Teenage Girl, which gathered those prior tracks. Grae kept writing and recording afterward, unveiling “Screw Loose,” “Who Dunnit?” and “It Could’ve Been You,” before delivering Nothing Lasts Forever at the start of 2024.
