Biography
Hailing from San Diego, ISOxo crafts an intense fusion of bass-driven styles that incorporates trap, dubstep, electro-house, and wave. Around 2017 he began issuing his high-impact, adrenaline-fueled tracks, then delivered his first EP, Nightrealm, in 2021, earning early backing from Skrillex, Alison Wonderland, and additional tastemakers. The 2022 collaborative remix project Niteharts paired him once more with Knock2, while his inaugural album, kidsgonemad!, surfaced in 2023. A deluxe edition titled KGM(irl)* arrived the following year alongside 4EVR, the latest joint venture with Knock2 under the ISOKNOCK moniker.
Julian Isorena first drew attention in 2017 through “ID,” a track linking him with Germany’s Skan and France’s Fang the Great. His dense, distorted take on trap quickly resonated across the EDM landscape, leading to notable partnerships with Knock2 and RL Grime, including the major 2021 single “Stinger.” Grime’s Sable Valley label then issued Nightrealm. Further 2022 releases encompassed “REDloop,” “Angels Landing” alongside FrostTop, and the Niteharts set, which found ISOxo and Knock2 reworking one another’s material. A turbulent collaboration with hybrid-trap specialist G Jones yielded the single “Say What.” On the 2023 debut album kidsgonemad!, Isorena incorporated techno, jungle, and rage elements, enlisting fussy, Wavedash, and Ninajirachi. The 2024 ISOKNOCK release 4EVR featured RL Grime on “Smack Talk,” after which ISOxo issued KGM(irl)*, a companion collection of demos, remixes, and unreleased cuts.
