Biography
Jaime Camil released his first album, Para Estar Contigo, during the summer of 2000, though recognition across Mexico and the broader Latin audience had already come to him years earlier. A well-known Brazilian vocalist who happened to be his mother sparked his interest in performing when he turned five, setting his career in motion from that point forward. Spanish-language television shows in both Mexico and the U.S. soon featured him as well. The visibility from those early appearances attracted notable songwriters to contribute to his debut, among them Pachy Lopez, Rudy Perez, Hal Batt, Claudia Brant, Eduardo Osorio, and Javier Rios.
