Biography
Kalin and Myles, a pair of Bay Area rappers, were just stepping into their twenties when their tracks began scaling the charts through a fusion of party rap and pop. Each had already been developing individual raps and productions before they linked up in 2011, laying down their first song, “More Than Friends,” on the opening day, capturing its video on the second, and posting both online on the third. The strong reaction prompted them to shelve their separate paths, after which the duo posted additional clips that included the breakout single “Summertime Love.” Their full-length Chasing Dreams arrived in 2012, followed by the K&M University EP in 2013, and national tours backed both projects. They later joined the Universal Records imprint Republic, which issued the Chase Dreams EP in 2014; that release became their initial appearance on the Billboard 200.
