Creating electronic pop suited to the digital era, Kid Froopy favors pitched-up vocals alongside sweet melodies and complex, glitch-filled productions. Themes of digital communication struggles and overlooked opportunities frequently appear in his songs, blending exuberance with melancholy. Growing up in Des Moines, Iowa, he first experimented with track production during high school via the FruityLoops software, a tool that later shaped his stage name. Several years of sharing his music online led to growing interest from EDM listeners by around 2014. Attention from Robokid followed the 2015 remix of "Helix," while Moving Castle put out "BB (Four Missed Texts)" in 2016. After handling remixes for Manila Killa and Terror Jr, he issued "Dreams" and "Drive Slow" through the Deadbeats imprint in 2017.
