Biography
Logan Henderson, an American actor and musician, rose to prominence as a onetime participant in the boy band Big Time Rush, which formed in the late 2000s. He was born in North Richland Hills, Texas, and secured his breakthrough in 2009 by joining three others as the fictional television ensemble on the Nickelodeon series that shared the group’s name. The show Big Time Rush ran from 2009 to 2014; during those years the act secured a contract with Columbia Records, issued three studio albums (two of them reaching the Top 5 on the Billboard 200), produced the film Big Time Movie, and completed five concert tours. Widely popular across Latin America, Asia, and Australia, Big Time Rush disbanded in 2014, after which its members each launched solo endeavors. While performing with BTR, Henderson sharpened his songwriting craft, later drawing on those skills for his independent work. Comparable to other former boy band members who stepped out alone, among them Nick Jonas and Zayn, Henderson’s earliest tracks adopted a noticeably more risqué, sensual, and adult perspective than the youthful innocence that defined BTR. His debut single, “Sleepwalker,” surfaced in January 2017 as a glossy fusion of pop production, electronic rhythms, and hip-hop elements, followed by “Bite My Tongue” and “Speak of the Devil.” The three songs were later gathered on the Acoustic Sessions EP in 2018.
