Biography
Melbourne native Brooke Addamo, after advancing to the Australian Idol finals in her teens, resurfaced a couple of years later under the alias Owl Eyes with the 2010 release of her debut EP Faces. Her sound, marked by lush synth-pop steeped in 1980s textures and anchored by warm, airy vocals, soon secured airplay on Australian youth radio giant Triple J while sparking interest from record labels. Additional EPs arrived in the form of 2011’s Raiders and 2012’s Crystalised, during which time she toured extensively, honed her craft through work with assorted songwriters and producers, and ultimately joined the roster of Wunderkind/Warner, the imprint that issued her first album, Nightswim, in 2013.
