Biography
Frontwoman Virginia Monti established the Italian occult rock group Psychedelic Witchcraft in 2015. The four-piece ensemble, completed by bassist Riccardo Giuffrè, guitarist Jacopo Fallai, and drummer Mirko Buia, draws from a sinister fusion of blues, acid rock, doom metal, and '70s psychedelic sounds of the past, taking cues from artists such as Jefferson Airplane, Coven, Dio, Cream, Black Sabbath, and Fleetwood Mac. Their initial EP, Black Magic Man, came out in 2015, followed by the album Vision one year later. In 2016, Soulseller Records released Magick Rites and Spells, a collection that merged every track from Black Magic Man together with unreleased material from Vision, and the band's second album, Sound of the Wind, surfaced near the end of 2017 on Listenable Records.
