Skyxxx

Born in New Jersey, SKYXXX spent his formative years in Florida and later established himself as an Orlando rapper who created the collective Swamp Posse. His catalog balances introspective, emotionally exposed verses with cocky, irreverent lines that celebrate drugs and sex. Across the 2010s he issued a steady stream of independent mixtapes and EPs, among them the 2016 release SIXXXTY EP, before Warner Bros. introduced him to a wider audience with the 2019 single “Hotboy.”

He started writing rhymes at a young age and, early in the decade, assembled Swamp Posse, whose roster included Tyla Yaweh, Jinx Cruz, and Eboi. The first project to appear was the 2012 mixtape 1990: The Sky Project; subsequent EPs such as SouthSide (2013) and Her (2015) explored styles ranging from backpacker rap to cloud rap. After SIXXXTY EP his sound moved toward trap, resulting in numerous singles and the 2018 project Hellbound Radio, which preceded his signing with Warner Bros.
