Biography
Guitarist Pedro Bonito joined forces with drummer Ian Moreno and vocalist/bassist Edward Reyes to establish Sunday's Best. Working alongside recording engineer Tom Ackerman—who had previously served as guitarist and vocalist for Skiploader—the initial trio laid down a 7" single along with a track for a compilation. Ackerman eventually took on the role of drummer for the band, prompting Moreno to shift over to rhythm guitar duties. This updated four-piece lineup captured their debut EP, Where Are You Now, during 1999. One year afterward came their inaugural full-length effort, Poised to Break. For the follow-up album The Californian, which appeared in spring 2002, Sunday's Best leaned toward an Americana aesthetic.
