Biography
Hailing from Seattle, The Home Team presents itself as a “heavy pop” outfit celebrated for explosive live shows and a knack for switching among disparate styles. The quartet fuses punk-pop and metal ingredients with R&B and funk textures, forging a sound that has built a loyal audience. Its roster includes Brian Butcher on vocals, John Baran on guitar, Ryne Olson on bass, and Daniel Matson on drums. The band surfaced in the mid-2010s and delivered its first album, Better Off, through Revival Records in 2018. Slow Bloom followed three years later, promoted via road runs with Don Broco, Senses Fail, and Real Friends. After signing with Thriller Records, the group unveiled its third LP, the punchy and immersive Crucible of Life, in 2024.
