Timoria, an Italian rock band, launched its performing career during the mid-eighties by serving as the support act for the British group Wire at Milan's Prego Club. The ensemble contributed an antiwar song titled "Signorno" to Amnesty International, after which the EP Macchine E Dollari appeared, preceding the 1990 debut album Colori Che Esplondoro that Litfiba's bassist Gianni Maroccolo produced. The band soon joined San Remo's Festival performing "L'uomo Che Ride," and issued Ritmo E Dolore in March 1991; Storie Per Vivere arrived the following year, with Viaggio Senza Vento emerging in 1993. That year also saw the group appear at Sonoria's Festival alongside Whitesnake and Aerosmith. February 2001 marked the release of El Topo Grand Hotel.
