Biography
Born in San Pietro Vernotico in 1986, this Italian pop singer launched his career in 2003 through an appearance at the Festival di Castrocaro, billed as the "New Voices Contest." Teaming up with friends in 2007, he helped establish the vocal group Aram Quartet, which competed in and claimed victory on that season of the Italian X-Factor. The ensemble secured a Sony contract and issued the album Il Pericolo di Essere Liberi ("The Danger of Being Free"), yet sales fell short of expectations, prompting the label to drop the act and triggering its eventual breakup. Maggio initiated his solo path in 2011 by issuing the indie single "Inconsolabile." Following several efforts, he captured the youth category at the 2013 Sanremo Festival with "Mi Servirebbe Sapere" ("All I Need to Know"), earning a Universal recording agreement. The song appeared on his debut solo album, Nonostante Tutto ("In Spite of Everything").
