London-based producer and DJ Blinkie first drew widespread attention through his bright, uplifting approach to British house music. His entry came via the 2015 debut single “Don’t Give Up (On Love),” after which he delivered remixes for Sam Smith, Anne-Marie and Sigala while issuing further tracks alongside Crazy Cousinz and Grace Tither.

Blinkie began producing at the age of 15 and has named Quincy Jones, Rick Rubin and Kanye West among the strongest shaping forces behind his sound. Although comfortable behind the decks, he has long favoured studio work, explaining that it allows him to translate ideas and feelings with greater depth. Among the British rap and pop records he has shaped are J Warner’s “Chill Chase” featuring Wretch 32, Jada’s “Purple Skies” and Liam Prior’s “Falling.”

He achieved wider notice with the uplifting house cut “Don’t Give Up (On Love),” voiced by Alahna. The track earned support from tastemaker platform Eton Messy, BBC Radio 1’s Mistajam and Ministry of Sound Radio, where presenter Mike Wooler brought Blinkie in for an on-air conversation. Ultra Records issued the single in late 2015; it later peaked at number 68 on the U.K. singles chart.

Further remixes followed for Anne-Marie, Sigala and Everything Everything before Blinkie returned with the 2017 single “Halfway.” Additional releases surfaced in 2018, among them the collaboration “Blue Skies” with funky U.K. producer Crazy Cousinz. In 2019 he paired with Grace Tither on “Little Love” and with Celina Sharma on “Must Be Love,” then in 2020 delivered the double A-side “What You Want”/“What You Do” while remixing Sam Smith’s “To Die For.”
