Chri$tian Gate$, the Orange County-based vocalist, stepped into wider recognition through his 2020 track “Numb,” where he shapes narratives of relational conflict via a mix of current pop-rap and pop/rock approaches.

Entering the scene in 2019 with "Skitzo," the singer and rapper Chri$tian Gate$ initially moved between pop and rap paths before shifting toward broader appeal on the melodic pop-trap cuts “Stayin’ Up,” “High,” and “Lost.” He built a persona rooted in troubled love stories and gained early viral traction with a remix of Royal & the Serpent’s “Overwhelmed,” which surpassed 50 million streams. Gate$’ major breakout arrived shortly afterward in “Numb,” a rapid-fire breakup anthem driven by an infectious guitar riff that delivered a genuine spotlight moment and exceeded 100 million streams. He advanced through 2022 via the rock-directed singles “Dangerous State of Mind” and “Traumatized,” then issued his debut EP, Why Do I Hear Breathing?, in March 2023.
