Danny Felix works as a songwriter, recording artist, and producer within Mexican Regional music. He ranks among the key creators of the widely embraced "corridos tumbados" approach. Also called "trap corridos," this subgenre merges hip-hop stylings and rhythms with longstanding corrido and ranchera structures. Felix stands out as a virtuoso guitarist, widely regarded as the most innovative and technically proficient instrumentalist operating in the field. He further commands respect as a record producer who has overseen multiple sessions for charting acts such as Natanael Cano and Luis Coronel. Felix launched his recording career with real momentum through the self-released 2019 studio set Sigo Firme de Pie. He additionally recorded, performed on, and produced Bad Bunny's charting remix of "Soy el Diablo" (ft. Natanael Cano). During 2020, Felix put out three live albums plus the studio project Musica Romantica on his own before signing with Fonovisia. Across that span he issued no fewer than 11 singles and six videos, whether solo or collaborative, among them the regional successes "Impala Tumbado" and "Zombie," both of which landed on his label debut Vuelve in January of 2021.

Although Felix resides in Phoenix, he entered the world in Sinaloa, Mexico, within a musical household whose patriarch maintained a local performing and recording ensemble. At age 10 he started studying guitar, bass, and accordion. He attained skill on each instrument, yet guitar remained his central focus. At 18, Felix turned to writing and producing songs. He performed inside his father's group, handled production duties for their sessions, and formed his own outfit, Los de Finix.

Beginning in 2013, he extended his production work to his father's ensemble along with additional local and regional artists spanning multiple genres. Upon the 14-year-old singer Natanael Cano's initial arrival in Phoenix after inking a deal with Five Music, an introduction to Felix took place. The pair initiated their partnership in 2018. Felix shaped Cano's early singles, among them "El de Los Lente Gucci," "Platicame el Ti," "F1," and "El MB." Once Cano moved to Compton, California's Rancho Humilde the next year, he summoned Felix to Los Angeles for further production work. The corridos tumbados blueprint solidified at that point, with Felix co-writing and steering hit tracks such as "El Drip" and "Soy el Diablo" while defining the trap corridos aesthetic. Upon hearing the latter song, Bad Bunny reacted strongly and asked for a remix that would allow his participation. He added a further stipulation: that Felix handle production and incorporate additional guitar parts. The resulting single reached inside the Top 20 on Hot Latin Songs and inside the Top Ten on streaming.

Felix joined Cano on national tour dates as guitarist while composing and tracking his own material during downtime. The year 2019 saw him produce and appear alongside Linea Activada on her popular single "Somos Hombres o Payasos," while he also self-released his own long-player Sigo Firme de Pie with support from Los de Finix. Amid a surge of songwriting activity, Felix maintained an intense schedule producing material for Cano, Luis Coronel, Tito Torbellino, Jr., and others.

In January of 2020, Felix sought an outlet for his expanding catalog of original songs and digitally released the 20-track studio effort Musica Romantica. He secured a recording agreement with Fonovisia that permitted him to clear prior material before joining the roster. Toward that goal he self-released three digital live albums. April's Live, Finix Style featured the studio single "Puros Marijuanos" alongside ten selections from the band's frequently performed concert set. Live, Cumbia Style arrived in May and highlighted the varied directions Felix's writing had taken, while Live, Rancho Style surfaced in June as a gathering of ranchera, mariachi, and corridos material.

Felix continued releasing solo and collaborative singles while maintaining his production work. He teamed with Edgardo Nunez on "El Negra a Negra" and with Ralphy Dreamz on "Tu Despedida." He unveiled his first corridos tumbados anthems for Fonovisia, among them "Impala Tumbado" and "Fuck It (I Don't Want You Back)." He likewise offered the traditional "La Leyenda de Los Llanos," supported by Nano Machado y Los Keridos. Felix began rolling out preview singles and videos ahead of his label debut, including a Matt Hunter collaboration called "Malas Decisiones" together with the solo tracks "Zombie" and "Tiran Tierra." The videos accumulated millions of views and registered on streaming charts.

January of 2021 brought Felix's Fonovisia long-player Vuelve. The video for its title-track single gathered 450,000 views in its opening week, while the follow-up "Malas Experiences" collected another 300,000. The 13-track collection encompassed several already-issued singles along with "La F*****g Ola" (feat. Abraham Vasquez). In February, Felix produced, co-wrote, and appeared as featured collaborator on the Luis R. Conriquez single "El 0-10."
