Biography
The rock outfit Diamond Youth, known for its melodic sound drawing from the 1990s, came together in 2010 with Justin Gilman handling vocals and guitar, alongside guitarist Sam Trapkin, bassist Daniel Fang, and drummer Brendan Yates. Although the members resided across various locations such as Baltimore, Chicago, and Los Angeles, they managed to lay down numerous tracks remotely through iChat and GarageBand software. Their first extended play, Don't Lose Your Cool, appeared in 2011 under the name Diamond. After adopting the full Diamond Youth title, the group issued the Orange EP in 2013, which was then succeeded by the Shake EP at the start of 2014.
