Hook N Sling

Sydney, Australia native Anthony Maniscalco, performing under the name Hook N Sling, launched his DJ career through a residency at a friend’s bar and later cultivated a big-room style that resonated across both Australia and the United States. Early on, he established himself locally by working the club circuit in Sydney and simultaneously joined the roster of Australian house imprint Hussle Recordings, issuing multiple EPs and singles. International demand soon followed, fueled in particular by frequent U.S. dates tied to the expanding EDM market. In 2012 he relocated permanently to Los Angeles. While under contract with Hussle, he remained restricted from releases on outside labels; that limitation ended with the move, opening the door to a series of tracks on Spinnin’ Records. Among them was the breakthrough single “Reason,” created with fellow Australian duo Nervo. Subsequent singles appeared on Axtone and Big Beat Records, the latter issuing his 2016 collaboration with Galantis, “Love on Me.”
