Isaia Huron first built his foundation behind the kit before emerging as a husky-voiced singer blending alternative R&B, soul, and pop. After issuing the lush 2020 EP Three and the 2021 project Bound, he kept refining a spare, atmospheric approach across subsequent releases such as 2021’s Cerulean Tapes, 2023’s Libbie 02, and 2024’s I’ll Finish the Lyrics Later.

Raised in Greenville, South Carolina, where his father served as pastor and his mother directed the church choir, Huron began drumming during services and later added guitar and bass to his instrumental arsenal. He moved to Nashville in 2018, soon becoming a sought-after session player for multiple bands while quietly uploading his own material and sharpening his instincts as a singer, songwriter, and producer. His debut EP, Three, arrived in 2020 and highlighted both his dynamic vocal range and his knack for merging sultry R&B textures with melodic pop hooks, most notably on the standout track “Loving You Is a Mountain.” Before year’s end he also issued the early-material compilation Libbie along with the singles “Somehow I Knew” and a cover of DJ Snake and Justin Bieber’s “Let Me Love You.”

The buoyant single “Self!” surfaced in 2021 on his sophomore EP, Bound. Later that year he released his third EP, Cerulean Tapes, which included the silky cut “One in a Million.” In 2023 Libbie 02 arrived, emphasizing an atmospherically spare, bass-heavy aesthetic. The following year Huron captured a set of sonically raw yet emotionally resonant songs inside his family’s church; after initially sharing the recordings online he officially issued them as I’ll Finish the Lyrics Later in August 2024.
