Johnny Yukon

Johnny Yukon, a singer, songwriter, and producer raised in Philadelphia and now based in Los Angeles, first attracted attention in 2015 through the beat-driven urban pop tracks he uploaded to SoundCloud. Rising online visibility soon brought major-label offers, and he ultimately signed with Atlantic. His initial output for the label in 2017 comprised three singles that opened with the catchy “Laptop,” co-produced by Frank Dukes, a frequent Drake collaborator. Two months afterward he released “Paper” and “Malibu Feels.” Early the following year the R&B-, hip-hop-, and dark pop-infused single “Lonely” appeared and was included on the Installation I LP. In 2020 he moved to Elektra, which issued Flight Plan 001 the next year; that project gathered earlier favorites such as “Grow,” “Climate,” and “Night Like This” together with fresh material that included the hits “Mystery” and “Soon.” Yukon returned in 2023 with the visuals- and narrative-driven MOVIES! WORLDWIDE, Pt. 1, then extended his interest in the overlap between music and cinema on the 2024 single “Lights, Camera, Action!”
