Kim Sozzi

Kim Sozzi, a singer and songwriter based in New York, first entered music during her early years, shaped chiefly by relatives. The granddaughter of an opera singer and a Latin percussionist who performed with Tito Puente, she devoted time to writing material drawn directly from her personal life. At age twenty the emerging talent secured an initial recording contract with Columbia Records. Her debut track, “Letting Go,” appeared on the television series Dawson’s Creek, while “Till I Cry You Out of Me” was placed in the film Teaching Mrs. Tingle.

In 1999 Sozzi joined the Lilith Fair tour. Her vocal talent and expanding audience led to a deal with BAB Music, the Berman Brothers’ label, for the release of her first album, which contained “Feelin’ Me,” “We Get Together,” and remixes by Hex Hector.
