Lincoln Jesser, who calls Los Angeles home, operates as a vocalist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer known for blending bright, melody-focused electronic pop with heartfelt rhythm and blues elements. Raised in La Quinta, California, he absorbed influences from Daft Punk, the Strokes, and the Killers during his formative years. While enrolled in high school, he served as the lead singer for the indie rock group Technicolor Wolves, although he later realized his strengths resided more in EDM and electropop realms. During his time as a student at USC in 2012, he connected with the Los Angeles music management and content ownership company Indie-Pop, resulting in the launch of his initial extended play titled New Blood. This was succeeded by numerous energetic tracks and reinterpretations, which built toward his inaugural album-length project, Modern Color, issued in 2014. Two years later came the Casa Mirage EP that included the successful track "Between These Lines," and in 2017 he put out three individual songs: "Right by You," "Tiny Universe," and "Somebody Will," with the final one incorporating vocals from Gabrielle Current.
