Movement

In 2011 the Australian trio MOVEMENT assembled in Sydney, its lineup consisting of Jesse James Ward, Lewis Wade, and Sean Walker. Seductive vocals rooted in R&B merged with downtempo dance rhythms and shadowy atmospheres to shape the group’s sonic identity. After signing with the Australian imprint Modular Recordings, the act issued a run of singles and EPs that began with the 2013 track “Us,” continued through 2014’s “Feel Real,” and extended to the MOVEMENT EP, co-produced by Illangelo, a frequent collaborator of the Weeknd. Fresh material was developed as the group readied a full-length album slated for 2015.
