Biography
Drawing from hardcore with only minor rap leanings, Kentucky outfit My Own Victim carried their alternative metal style from the Midwest to Century Media during the mid-1990s. At the time of 1998’s The Weapon the lineup featured vocalist Vic Hillerich, guitarists Brian Omer and Jeff Toy, bassist Todd Conn, and drummer Sean Fitzgibbons, the last of whom being the sole non-founding member. The band first appeared stateside in 1995 on Burning Inside, then issued No Voice, No Rights, No Freedom in 1997 before delivering The Weapon the following year.
