The pop ensemble OBB, also recognized as the Oswald Brothers Band and based in Atlanta, Georgia, emerged from an exceptionally tight-knit household. During childhood the three siblings Nich, Jacob, and Zach Oswald shared one bedroom while receiving their schooling at home, which gradually nurtured a shared enthusiasm for songwriting and music as they matured together. The project took formal shape in 2008, after their grandmother urged them to audition for the CBS Early Show’s Singing Family Face-Off the next year. Although the contest win slipped away, a high placement generated national exposure that translated into further live bookings and a recording agreement secured in 2012. Their introductory EP surfaced in 2013, landing at number 23 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and number 39 on the Christian Albums chart. To promote the release the group joined the Winter Jam package tour and began tracking a full-length project alongside producer Justin Ebach. Curb Records issued the resulting album Bright Side in September 2014, then followed two months later with the holiday EP Feelin’ Like Christmas. The 2016 single “Sweater” surpassed one million digital streams, and the follow-up track “Mona Lisa” appeared the subsequent year.
