Biography
As a Nashville-based singer and songwriter, Cade Thompson creates earnest, uplifting Christian pop, gaining notice through his first release, the 2019 track “Provider.”
Thompson was born in Joplin, Missouri, and raised in a Christian household whose mother served as a youth pastor. Music drew him early; he sang in elementary school and at church. Near age nine his family relocated to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he expanded his abilities and mastered guitar, piano, and drums. At fourteen he penned his initial song and soon began leading worship services at his church. He sharpened his craft at songwriting camps while citing TobyMac, Phil Wickham, and Matthew West as influences. After graduating high school in 2019, Thompson moved to Nashville and joined Rascal Flatts singer Jay DeMarcus’ Red Street Records. The next year he issued his debut single, Bryan Fowler-produced “Provider.”
