Biography
Born in Vosselaar, Belgium, on October 19, 1974, Peter Evrard endured his mother’s suicide at age twelve, an event that thrust him abruptly into adult responsibilities. Music offered both refuge and solace, while the stage provided a restorative outlet for the emerging performer who blended musical and theatrical impulses. After more than a decade working in construction, Evrard gained entry to the music business via the World Idol contest, where he placed third in the final round. The achievement secured a recording contract, prompting the immediate release of the single “For You,” which moved more than seventy thousand units. His debut album, Rhubarb, arrived in 2004; its songs were co-written by Evrard, Eric Melaerts, Jan Leyers, and Jo Cassiers and were produced by George Kooymans, founding member of Golden Earring. Sporting his signature long hair and goatee, the married father of two sons now appears ready to extend his pop-metal reach beyond Belgium.
