Phangs

Phangs operates as the solo project of Nashville musician Jake Germany, who specializes in delicate, dreamy pop material exploring love and loneliness, examples of which surface on the 2017 EP Get in My Arms. While studying at college in Nashville, Germany fronted the Southern rock outfit Cardboard Kids before linking up with alternative CCM group Relient K and contributing to their album Air for Free in 2016. That same year he introduced the Phangs moniker through the single "Cul de Sac," which preceded the 2017 arrival of his debut EP Get in My Arms and its featured track "Always Been U" with R.LUM.R. The following year brought two further EPs, Happy Season and Nº1 Loves You, along with the Mystery Skulls joint effort "Louder." In 2019 Kid Ina Korner issued the pair of short-form releases _A BREAK and A_WRECK.
