Forming the American remixing pair known as Rosabel were Chicago-rooted DJ and producer Ralphi Rosario alongside Miami-rooted DJ and producer Abel Aguilera. Their entry into the scene occurred during the closing years of the 1990s through contributions to projects involving Donna Summer and Gloria Estefan. The year 2000 saw the duo collaborate on Debbie Jacobs' "Don't You Want My Love," while also bringing Jennifer Holliday back into the club and dance realm via their remix treatment of "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going." Anticipating further achievements, the 2001 release "The Power" featuring performer Jeamie Tracey appeared on the acclaimed HBO program Sex and the City and paved the way for the subsequent single "That Sound."
