Samantha Harvey, a pop vocalist hailing from Suffolk, England, first gained notice through her engaging renditions of hit chart tracks. Her affinity for singing emerged at age eight, prompting her to join a local youth drama company where she nurtured that interest. While there, she also cultivated skills in dance and acting, highlighted by her casting as Alice in the troupe’s staging of Alice in Wonderland at eleven. This exposure intensified her commitment to the performing arts, culminating in a college diploma in the field. She soon began filming and posting her own interpretations of material by widely recognized acts including Elvis Presley, Adele, and Ed Sheeran across various social platforms. Momentum built steadily until a Facebook follower asked her to interpret “Angel” by Canadian singer/songwriter Sarah McLachlan as a tribute to a deceased relative. Harvey complied, and the positive reception encouraged her to issue the track as a charity single supporting Cancer Research U.K. The resulting surge in recognition secured professional management, recording opportunities, and songwriting collaborations both domestically and abroad. Responding to calls for original work, she composed and tracked her debut effort, releasing the single “Forgive Forget” during summer 2017. Subsequent covers of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and “Say You Won’t Let Go” appeared before she delivered the single “Please” in early 2018.
