Biography
Stellar Kart, a Christian pop-punk band from Phoenix, Arizona, put out its debut full-length, All Gas, No Brake, in the first months of 2005. Several tracks from that record reached CCM radio, which in turn supported the young act’s newly inked contract with Word Records. The group’s true breakthrough arrived in 2006, when the sophomore release We Can't Stand Sitting Down delivered the Hot Christian Songs chart-topper “Me and Jesus” and later earned the band a 2007 Dove Award. The same twelve months also marked Stellar Kart’s inaugural headlining tour, which included support from Run Kid Run and Eleventyseven. By 2008 the outfit had completed work on its third album, Expect the Impossible.
