Biography
After departing the post-metal group Mouth of the Architect in 2007, Columbus, Ohio vocalist/guitarist Gregory Lahm formed Struck by Lightning to reconnect with his punk and hardcore foundations. Retaining select instrumental intricacies and occasional melodic touches from his prior project, Lahm collaborated with Mike Leach on guitar, John Peters on bass, and Travis Kline on drums, taking primary inspiration from crustcore mainstays Disfear and His Hero Is Gone for the band's debut album, Serpents, issued by Translation Loss Records in 2009.
