Comprising the high-spirited pop-rap trio Taylor Girlz are the sisters Ti Taylor, Daysha Taylor, and Tiny Taylor, who first appeared on the scene as teenagers during 2016. Natives of Atlanta, Georgia, the group put out several singles that year, all produced in collaboration with Bolo da Producer—the same individual behind Silentó's track "Watch Me [Whip/Nae Nae]"—starting off with "Woozie" and "Hillary," before building significant traction through the playful, melodic "Steal Her Man," which included Trinity Taylor, along with "Wedgie." Their accessible, grassroots pop style positioned the act within a tradition that includes L'Trimm's "Cars with the Boom" and MC Luscious' "I Got Your Boyfriend." Following the path set by Zay Hilfigerrr and Zayion McCall's "Juju on That Beat," "Steal Her Man" became the next big viral dance sensation. RCA, the major label, then issued the EP Who Are Those Girlz!? in February of the next year, which contained the tracks "Steal Her Man" and "Wedgie" plus four additional songs.
