Biography
Tito "El Bambino," a foundational figure in reggaeton, comprised one half of the innovative Hector & Tito partnership before launching an independent path that began with a signing to EMI Televisa and the 2006 arrival of Top of the Line. Although Hector & Tito had opened new territory, they never matched the popularity or sales of Daddy Yankee and Don Omar, the era’s preeminent reggaeton acts during the mid-2000s. Consequently, Tito confronted a substantial gap to close once he proceeded alone. He bridged that distance swiftly, as Top of the Line generated multiple hit singles, among them "Caile," which reached the summit of the Billboard Tropical Airplay chart.
Its 2007 successor, It’s My Time, gained traction through tropical-chart standouts that entered the Top Ten, such as "El Tra" and the remix of "Siente el Boom," the latter originally appearing on Top of the Line. Tito secured his first Latin chart-topper in 2009 with "El Amor," an achievement that carried El Patrón onto the Latin, pop, and rap charts in the U.S.; a later remix featuring Jenni Rivera supplied further momentum that year. Invencible followed in 2011, buoyed by the tropical hits "Llueve el Amor" and "Llama Al Sol." Its pronounced reggaeton character elevated the project to Tito’s strongest rap-chart showing, while also spotlighting a contribution from his brother, Emanuel "El Bambi."
Invicto, issued in 2012, reinforced Tito’s reputation for merging styles without sacrificing commercial peaks and included the singles "Dame la Ola" and "¿Por Qué Les Mientes?," the latter featuring a guest spot from Marc Anthony. Alta Jerarquía surfaced near the end of 2014 and contained successful collaborations with Chencho on "A Que No Te Atreves" and Nicky Jam on "Adicto a Tus Redes." Tito maintains ownership of the On Fire Music label.
