Biography
Emerging from the youth ministry programs at Calvary Temple Worship Center in Modesto, California, the modern worship quintet Worth Dying For launched their career by delivering anthemic, rock-driven praise songs during regular gatherings of young people at the Stadium. The band inked a deal in 2007 with worship powerhouse Integrity Music and entered the studio alongside Dave Wyatt, a producer and frequent collaborator with tobyMac, to lay down their self-titled debut album, whose sound echoed the approach of fellow Christian rock outfits Paramore, Fireflight, and Hillsong United. Issued in spring 2008, Worth Dying For registered modest placements on the Billboard 200 while climbing into the Top 20 of the same publication’s Top Christian Albums chart.
