Biography
Emerging under the club and dance alias Alice Deejay, the project entered the techno-pop scene near the end of the 1990s, delivering dynamic sets across European venues and creating mixes with contemporaries such as Josh Wink, DJ Rap, and Paul Oakenfold. The person known as Judy, the real identity behind the Alice Deejay persona, first stepped into the spotlight by performing at Amsterdam’s well-known Roxy club. An immediate, deep bond between live audience exchange and the music itself ignited the drive that led Judy to adopt the Alice Deejay identity. Her first album, Who Needs Guitars Anyway?, appeared in March 2000.
