Bad Rabbit

Jim Jarmusch, working as both film director and guitarist, assembled Bad Rabbit with drummer Carter Logan and organist/sound engineer Shane Stoneback. The trio originated in 2009 for the explicit purpose of scoring the soundtrack Limits of Control to accompany Jarmusch’s film of identical title. Its style centers on dominant percussion, guitars tuned down and sustained in drone, plus loops and cassette recorders all saturated with feedback. These elements fuse chopped & screwed hip-hop, country, stoner metal, and textures evoking film scores. In time the group adopted the name SQÜRL.
