Damon Sharpe

A multifaceted songwriter, producer, and DJ, Damon Sharpe specializes in dance-infused electronic pop. His reputation rests primarily on behind-the-scenes contributions to recordings by numerous pop and R&B acts such as Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, Big Time Rush, Alesso, and Miami rapper Pitbull. Stepping forward as a solo performer, he has delivered headline DJ sets at EDC Vegas and SXSW while issuing original material such as the 2019 track “Fire & Gold” alongside Morgan Page and VIVID. He established his independent imprint Brainjack Music in 2022.

Cleveland, Ohio native Damon Jared Reinagle spent his formative years in Phoenix, Arizona, where an early fascination with music took hold. When he reached age fifteen his family moved to Los Angeles so he could chase a performing career. In 1990 he joined the cast of the NBC musical sketch-comedy series Guys Next Door as one of the members of the show’s fictional boy band. Once the program concluded he shifted focus to songwriting and production, beginning with Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, Justin Guarini, Kimberley Locke, Big Time Rush, and additional artists. He also co-wrote and supplied background vocals for dancehall queen Lady Saw’s counterpart Anastacia on “Love Is a Crime,” featured on the soundtrack for the 2002 Oscar-winning film Chicago, and supplied material for the 2012 Pitch Perfect soundtrack. That same year he served as a vocal coach during season two of The X Factor under the guidance of Jamaican vocal coach Georgia Guerra. Subsequent production and writing credits encompassed work with BoA, Pitbull, Alesso, New Kids on the Block, and others.

Sharpe has further carved out a presence as a DJ through appearances at major festivals, among them EDC Vegas and SXSW. His 2019 collaboration “Fire & Gold” with Morgan Page and VIVID reached the Top Ten on dance radio. Additional releases include “When in Rome” with GATTÜSO, “Ghost Ship” with Orjan Nilsen, and “Lifetime” with Zonderling and Josh Cumbee. To celebrate the 2022 launch of Brainjack Music he performed a DJ set at Las Vegas’ Electric Daisy Carnival.
