Biography
Cuban-American performer Elian Gonzalez, known professionally as Gonzy, fuses elements of rap, Latin R&B, dance-pop, and reggaeton into a distinctive multicultural style. He first surfaced in 2021 with a trap-centric approach before shifting toward pop sensibilities across subsequent projects, most notably his inaugural full-length studio effort, DESAHOGO, issued in 2023.
Gonzalez began issuing material under the Gonzy name that same year, including the singles “Banco Virao” and “Casualidad,” which mixed languages and genres. Those tracks featured bilingual verses supported by production that moved fluidly between Latin R&B textures and Americanized pop-rap frameworks. The 2022 mini-album MI FANTASY followed, and by mid-2023 he had issued the standout collaborative single “La Calma” with Oliver Kid before unveiling DESAHOGO, his debut proper studio album.
