Biography
In the mid-1980s the Uruguayan punk rock outfit Los Traidores coalesced around singer Juan Casanova, guitarist Víctor Nattero and bassist Pablo Dana, with drummer Alejandro Bourdillón completing the lineup soon after. Their first appearance came on the 1985 local compilation Graffiti. The following year the group issued its debut album Montevideo Agoniza and shortly thereafter shared the stage with Sumo, Fito Paez and other Latin rock acts at the Montevideo Rock festival. Keyboardist Ciao Martínez arrived in 1987, enabling the recording of En Cualquier Parte Del Mundo; a self-titled album followed in 1988 and La Lluvia Ha Vuelto A Caer appeared in 1992. After Daniel Jacques took over on bass and Andrés Arrillaga became the new drummer, the band resumed studio work and delivered Radio Babilonia on the Monitor label in 1995. Los Traidores performed at the Rock de Acá festival in April 1998, the same year original bassist Pablo Dana rejoined and Roberto Rodino joined on drums.
