Singer/songwriter and Christian worship leader Lou Fellingham helped establish the British Christian rock band Phatfish as one of its original members. Raised in the West Sussex village of Turners Hill in England, she performed during her teenage years with the local Christian ensembles Turners Hill Mob and 4th Dimension. In 1994 she became part of the Brighton-based group Phatfish, and in 1998 she married its drummer Nathan Fellingham. The pair later welcomed three children, and the family regularly took part in music leadership and worship at Church of Christ the King. While still active with Phatfish, Fellingham also pursued an independent recording career, issuing her first solo project, Treasure, in 2006. Her next album, Promised Land, received a Gold Award from the Christian Broadcasting Council in the Worship Album of 2008 category. Band tours thereafter were billed as Phatfish & Lou Fellingham and began featuring selections from her solo catalog. Her third solo effort, Step Into the Light, appeared in 2010 and was introduced at a sold-out show held at Brighton’s Komedia. Those solo achievements brought repeated invitations to perform on the BBC program Songs of Praise. She issued her fourth studio album, Fascinate, in 2014, then delivered her debut live recording, This Changes Everything, captured at the Old Market Theater in Brighton in 2017.
