Lucenzo

Emerging from Portugal, singer, producer, and songwriter Lucenzo first rose to prominence in 2010 on the strength of the reggaeton smash “Vem Dançar Kuduro.” Born Filipe Oliveira in Paris, France, he had already become a regular on Portuguese radio by roughly 2008. The 2009 single “Dame Reggaeton” reached the summit of the Portuguese charts, paving the way for an early-2010 collaboration with rapper Big Ali on the English-and-Portuguese track “Vem Dançar Kuduro.” Later that year the Spanish-language adaptation featuring guest Don Omar appeared under the title “Danza Kuduro.” Drawing on the global momentum of those two hits, his 2007 single “Emigrante del Mundo” received a fresh release in France and ranked among the country’s leading club tracks throughout 2011.
