Biography
Formed in Argentina during the early 1990s, the Latin rock band Peligrosos Gorriones came together through singer and bassist Francisco Bochaton, guitarist Guillermo Coda, keyboardist Martín Karakachoff, and drummer Rodrigo Velásquez. Drawing its chief inspiration from grunge, the group issued its debut album in 1993. Former Soda Stereo member Zeta Bossio produced the record, which included the hit singles “El Bicho Reactor” and “Escafandra.” The videos for those tracks soon entered MTV Latino’s Top 20. In August 1995 the quartet joined Babasonicos, los Brujos, and Massacre on the bill of the Nuevo Rock Argentino festival. Later that year the band released the album Fuga. January 1996 brought an opening slot for Robert Plant and Jimmy Page at a major Buenos Aires venue. Antiflash followed one year later.
