Biography
Quevedo's powerful performance and singular low-register vocals drew immediate notice upon the release of the ensemble track "Cayó la Noche (Remix)." Within twelve months the Madrid-born singer had emerged as one of the style's most prominent new figures, claiming international chart peaks and establishing benchmarks through his partnership with Bizarrap on Quevedo: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52. Further propelled by "Punto G" and the Myke Towers collaboration "Playa del Inglés," he returned to the summit of the Spanish charts with his first full-length project, the 2023 album Donde Quiero Estar, and the subsequent seasonal hit "Columbia." Another Spanish number one arrived in 2024 with Buenas Noches.
Pedro Luis Domínguez Quevedo, who spent portions of his youth in Brazil and the Canary Islands after leaving Madrid, sharpened his technique in freestyle rap before entering the music industry in 2020. He placed his resonant timbre at the center of trap cuts such as "Piel de Cordero" and "Luna" as well as reggaeton tracks like "Universitaria" and "Cógelo Suave," forging alliances with local artists that would later underpin his breakthrough. The original "Cayó La Noche," recorded with La Pantera and Juseph, attracted only modest interest until a 2022 remix assembled seven rising voices from the regional rap scene. That expanded version swiftly accumulated hundreds of millions of streams and reached number seven on Spain's PROMUSICAE chart. Audiences drawn to Quevedo's distinctive chorus soon encountered him on "Respuesta Cero" and "Chamaquita," and he joined Duki and De La Ghetto for the hit "Si Quieren Frontear."
A July 2022 collaboration with Argentinian producer Bizarrap converted the emerging artist into one of the genre's most sought-after voices. Their explosive reggaeton-dance fusion "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52" topped charts in eight countries, received nine-times platinum certification, surpassed one billion streams, and marked the first occasion a Spanish act (Quevedo) or Argentinian act (Bizarrap) had led the Billboard Global 200.
Riding that momentum, he issued the additional singles "Punto G," "Sin Señal," and "Vista al Mar" while linking again with Myke Towers on "Playa del Inglés," all of which fed into his debut album Donde Quiero Estar. Released in January 2023, the project reached number one in Spain and remained there for eight weeks while climbing to number 12 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart. Months later the summer anthem "Columbia" delivered another Spanish chart-topper and earned eight platinum certifications at home.
Quevedo's run of successes extended through the close of 2023 and into 2024 with the Saiko-assisted "Buenas" and the solo release "La Última," both of which also reached number one. In November 2024 he issued his second studio album, Buenas Noches, which gathered appearances from Pitbull, Rels B, Aitana, Yung Beef, La Pantera, and additional guests. Anchored by the singles "Duro," "Buenas Noches," and "Kassandra," the set again topped the Spanish charts and peaked at number two on Billboard's Top Latin Albums ranking.
