Biography
Los Angeles-based indie pop duo the Brinks blend the fluid vocals of Australian singer/songwriter/guitarist Scott Mellis with the polished electronic rhythms crafted by New York producer Matt Friedman. After Mellis moved to L.A., the pair connected and began collaborating in Friedman’s downtown studio. With the same management as rapper Pusha T, their early recordings reached producer Salaam Remi, who placed them on his Sony label Louder Than Life. Their first EP, Temporary Love, appeared at the end of 2015. The title song had already drawn tens of millions of streams when the single “Honey” was released in June 2017.
