Biography
Tucker Wetmore introduced his contemporary country style with the 2024 single “Wine into Whiskey,” positioning himself between the brooding ballads of Jason Aldean and the hedonism of Morgan Wallen. The track registered as a Country Airplay hit and opened the door for his EP Waves on a Sunset, issued the same year.
Raised in Kalama, Washington, Wetmore divided his teenage years between football and music. While starring on the high-school gridiron, he continued writing and performing songs in his free time, yet at Montana Technological University—where he studied business and information technology—football remained the priority. An injury ended those athletic ambitions, steering him toward music full time. He settled in Nashville in 2020 and issued a run of independent singles the following year, beginning with “Kiss My A$$” and continuing through “Another Shot” and “She’s Trouble.” After signing with Back Blocks Music in 2023, he released “Wine into Whiskey” early the next year. Online buzz propelled the song onto Billboard’s Country Airplay Charts, and a second Country Airplay hit, “Wind Up Missin’ You,” arrived soon afterward. Both tracks appeared on Wetmore’s debut EP, Waves on a Sunset, which surfaced in October 2024.
